Weekly Essential Oil~ Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea)

Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) essential oil is steam distilled from the flower buds and leaves.  Its aroma is a light, sweet, herbal, grassy scent.  Clary Sage is energetically uplifting. It is excellent for mental clarity and focus and can offer support for emotional distress.  Try creating a diffuser blend with a few drops of Clary Sage and a drop of Lavender.  Because it has anti-inflammatory properties, it is also a wonderful oil for helping to clear your skin when used in a daily face wash.  Clary Sage can also ease tension making it useful in massage blends for sore, tight muscles.  Try the sore muscle massage blend below.

Weekly Essential Oil~ Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia)

Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the tea tree.  It is a shrubby tree that is native to Australia and South Africa.  Its aroma is herbal and medicinal.  Tea Tree is an excellent antimicrobial and anti-fungal essential oil.  It's perfect for diffusing to cleanse the air as well as for blending into natural cleaners for kitchens and bathrooms.  Tea tree pairs well with Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essential oil to help treat small cuts and scrapes on the skin.

Natural Soft Scrub for Sinks and Bathtubs
   1 cup Baking Soda
3 Tbsp Castile Soap
1 Tbsp White Vinegar
15 drops Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia)
15 drops Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)
10 drops Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)
Small container with lid (I like to use a plastic Gladware container)

Mix all ingredients in small container.  Use approximately a Tablespoon on a damp scrubby sponge to clean kitchen and bathroom sinks, bathtubs and showers.  Rinse well.

Need a little help healing some bumps and bruises?  My Bumps & Bruises roll-on can help with that!
It contains skin healing essential oils including Tea Tree blended into Tamanu Oil.  Want to know a little secret?  It's great for acne too, but I recommend only applying a little dab at night, especially if you have sensitive.
